Measles Outbreak in Sydney: New Cases Spark Health Alert!

NSW Health's Warning: On Monday, NSW Health identified five additional locations over a three-day period where people may have been exposed to the virus. This brings the total number of measles cases in NSW since the start of the year to 10, raising concerns about a potential outbreak.

- Westmead Hospital Emergency Department: February 6th, 9:30 a.m. - February 7th, 11:30 a.m.
Health Advice: Although these locations are no longer considered a health risk, anyone who visited them at the specified times should remain vigilant for symptoms over the coming weeks. And this is the part most people miss: even if you haven't been to any of the exposure sites, be alert for measles symptoms, especially if you develop a rash a few days after initial symptoms.
