A manhunt is currently underway following what authorities have termed a "targeted murder" that occurred on a street in Glasgow.
Emergency responders rushed to Dalness Close in the Tollcross neighborhood after receiving reports of a disturbance around 12:25 PM on Monday, February 9, 2026. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of James Greenhorn, a 61-year-old resident of the area, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are treating this tragic event as a homicide, with early indications suggesting that Mr. Greenhorn was deliberately targeted.
While no suspects have been apprehended yet, police officials are pursuing a clear line of investigation. Detective Chief Inspector David Lamont shared details about the case, stating, "At approximately 12:25 PM, we received a call regarding a disturbance on Dalness Close. Tragically, James Greenhorn was found deceased, and his family has been informed. We will be submitting a report to the Procurator Fiscal."
